Explanation of the search results
Information on the placement of search results - PRODUCTS
When a user searches for articles, our search engine prefers to display those articles that are relevant in terms of content and promise a good buying experience. To determine the relevance of the content, the search terms entered in the search bar are compared with the product titles and their content (PZN numbers and descriptions) and a weighting factor is calculated for each product: the more often the search terms you enter are found for a product, the higher the weighting factor.
The weighting is carried out in two stages:
- very important: product title (short), PZN number, manufacturer article number, product title (complete)
- important: product descriptions
The products are sorted exclusively on the basis of the weighting factor mentioned. A sorting option by the user is not provided.
The user can, however, limit the search results according to filters such as manufacturer, article group, warnings and much more. If filter actions have been carried out, this will affect the order and type of products displayed depending on whether the products match the filter criteria.
No upgrades, advertisements etc. that can be purchased for money play a role in the placement of the search results, i.e. a temporary better placement of individual products is not possible.
Placement information - PRODUCT LISTS
When a user calls up a product list such as "All products", "Medicines", "Skin care" etc., the product list preferentially displays those items that have a product image. Within this result, the products are sorted (completely) alphanumerically according to their product title.
No upgrades, advertisements etc. that can be purchased for money play a role in the placement of the search results, i.e. a temporary better placement of individual products is not possible.
